APHEX TWIN - "Melodies From Mars"

APHEX TWIN - "Melodies From Mars" (1995)

This is probably the weirdest Aphex Twin album I've heard. It was originally created for Richard D. James' friends at Rephlex and Warp Records, and was never released to the public. This one is sort of hard to explain. It's not exactly techno, it's more like really bizarre electronic compositions. Really really tripped-out, and indeed does sound like Martian melodies. Enjoy!!

I heard it was for some game that never got off the ground. This makes sense when you listen to them.

That DOES make sense! I really do like the music on this album, it is so off-kilter to what RJD usually does. A lot of people don't like this one, but I have no problems listening to the whole thing in one sitting!

thanks for checking out the page, friend! :o)

The version you have linked to is incorrect...
It's missing Logan Rock Witch (demo)...

This LP is great. Shame it was never released.
